Who We Are

New Millennium Christian Center was created to address the critical needs of the growing number of  “at risk” residents in Piedmont, North Carolina who have little or no church affiliation.  Those who are “at risk” can be defined as individuals who have the capability of becoming self-sufficient, but who lack the teaching and application of Christian principles.

Uniquely, NMCC will serve as a place of empowerment where infants to senior citizens will learn  to receive the message of salvation and apply the scriptures from the Holy Bible.  In addition, NMCC will serve as a place of refuge where people young and old can come to recover from the pressures of a volatile world.  During their period of recovery, these people will receive practical teachings, Christian counseling, praise, worship, fellowship, recreation, and meditative time with the Lord and with fellow believers.  NMCC will primarily serve as a transition and empowerment center.

The MISSION of New Millennium Christian Center is to walk in the Spirit of God, so that others may know Him, to make disciples and to spread the gospel of Christ.

Galatians 5: 16-17 | Walk in the Spirit
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

Colossians 1:10-11 | Bear Fruit
so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Matthew 28:19-20 | Change the World
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost;  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Our VISION is to be a multi-faceted ministry that equips people of all races in pursuing, capturing and developing a mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:12-14 |
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.  For we were all baptized by[a] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

Galatians 3:28|
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Revelations 7:9-10 |
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.

Isiah 41:10 |
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Romans 8:31-32 |
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Several families gathered together in January of 2003 to begin a series of discussions about a unique and more effective form of outreach to the local communities of the Piedmont.  These discussions revealed critical concerns in the lives of many families that were not being addressed.  The majority of these concerns are in the areas of resource development; misuse of traditions; the lack of cultural diversity; the absence of youth in ministry; physical, mental, and spiritual abuse.

Over the course of several meetings, the following were formed: vision and mission statements, an organizational structure, a doctrine of faith, and ministry descriptions.  Additional tasks included setting primary goals and objectives, examining the local environment (by taking sample surveys and measuring people’s interests), setting specific timetables for project initiatives and evaluations, and concluding when the ministry should begin.

After praying and seeking confirmation from the Holy Spirit,  New Millennium Christian Center (NMCC) was formed in June of 2003.

Empowerment Center

With love, we encourage progression in Christ and within our daily lives. We seek to teach, model and then trust the Christ in us.

Safe Haven

NMCC is our sanctuary from the darts of the world. When we enter NMCC, we should feel the safety, warmth, and love of the Lord and of one another.

Stress Free Place of Worship

We understand people might carry stress of the world on their shoulders, and the church should not be viewed as another stressor; it should teach/help members to find peace and confidence that all works for their good.

Judgment Free

We understand that no one is perfect except God, so we seek to understand as opposed to take on the role of God by judging others.

Point of Fellowship

We take time to know (if allowed) one another so that we can serve as a bridge in times of need.

An Example of Unity

We, although different, are members of one body. We do not take on the role of a foot when we have been called to be a hand. We operate in oneness to accomplish wholeness.

Place of Peace

There is peace here. We strive to provide an atmosphere of tranquility and alignment with the Word of God.
